The 2nd edition of AIFF affiliated International Cup of Joy to take place from the July 19th onwards.



The Second edition of the ‘International cup of Joy’ initiative by Mr. Joy Gabriel jointly hosted by ‘First Kick School of Soccer’ will take place in Coimbatore from July 19th until July 22nd, 2018. This edition, there are 13 teams battling out for the ICOJ cup from various leagues. Chennaiyin FC, Bengaluru FC, Gokulam Kerala FC, Muthoot Football Academy, Reliance Academy, Redstar FC, Football Plus Academy, Rising Star Manipur, Don Bosco Delhi, United Studz Hyderabad, Real Sparsh, FC Kovai and Rising Star Ahmedabad are the 13 teams participating in the ICOJ 2018. Unlike last year, Dempo FC is not participating this season.

ICOJ has recently gained fame which was viral across various social media platforms. ”This tournament was a huge platform for me to get to play against ISL teams and gain vast exposure playing against teams from all over the country.”- says Harsha, who played in the last edition of ICOJ and currently plays for the ISL team, Chennaiyin FC in the Hero Youth League. Head coach of Academy FA Mr. Sabir Pasha opined, “Such tournaments are very important for kids to play much more competitive football and I thank ICOJ for giving my team an opportunity to participate in this tournament. Players enjoyed the hospitality and competition and they are feeling extremely happy and enthusiastic.”

The founder of the ICOJ, Mr. Joy Gabriel M exclaimed, “It was my dream to bring International Football to the south. This tournament has paved a career to many aspiring footballers last edition. This it is set to be more bigger and better and I hope the younger generation make their best out of ICOJ.”

ICOJ in its second edition is made to be held in a bigger canvas this season, where the games are live streamed in various social media platforms and also has a radio partner for live audio streaming. ICOJ committee also wished all the teams playing this year, a successful tournament.
