2022 ലോകകപ്പ് യോഗ്യത റൗണ്ടിലെ ആദ്യ രണ്ടു മത്സരങ്ങൾക്ക് ഉള്ള 28 അംഗ ടീമിൽ സാധ്യത ടീമിൽ അനസ് എടത്തൊടികയും സഹൽ അബ്ദുൽ സമദും ആഷിക് കുരുണിയനും ഇടം നേടി. എന്നാൽ മലയാളി സ്ട്രൈക്കർ ജോബി ജസ്റ്റിൻ പുറത്തായി. ജോബി ജസ്റ്റിനെ കൂടാതെ അൻവർ അലി, ഫറൂഖ് ചൗധരി, പ്രണോയ് ഹാർഡർ, സലാം രഞ്ജൻ സിംഗ്,ജെറി എന്നിവരും പുറത്തായി.ഒമാനെതിരെയാണ് ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ആദ്യ യോഗ്യത മത്സരം. സെപ്റ്റംബർ അഞ്ചിന് ഗുവാഹത്തിയിലാണ് മത്സരം
